People of Chitral appreciate PM development package

CHITRAL, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -7th Sept,2016) : People of all walks of life here Wednesday lauded the development package of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and termed it highly inclusive and goal oriented.

They said PM has won the hearts and minds of hundreds of thousands of people of Chitral and termed the package would make very positive effects on the socio-economic conditions of masses. Saeed Ahmed Khan, PML-N Chitral President said Chitral University was the long awaited demand of people that was fulfilled today by the Prime Minister.

He said most of poor students especially female left their education incomplete due to absence of public sector full fledged university in Chitral, saying with construction of a Govt university, they would not only complete their education but would save the time and money of other students being spent by them in Peshawar, Islamabad and other districts of the province.

Nawaz Sharif was the first Prime Minister of Pakistan who visited Chitral four times that reflected his sincerity, love and affection with people of Chitral. He said an extension and repair of 25 kilometers Boni Bozand Kor Road costing Rs 1.10 billion inaugurated by PM would provide better communication facilities to people besides facilitating a large number of people.

He said the Prime Minister has inaugurated sustainable development program for Chitral and Shangla that would expedite pace of development besides provision of better communication facilities to the residents.

The 25 kilometers long Boni Road would be completed with help of Federal Government annual developmental program. This would help provide better communication facilities besides easy access to markets to Chitral City.

Nadir Chitrali, a social worker also welcomed the PM announcement for construction of a university and 250-bed hospital under the PM's Health Programme and several road links in Chitral. He said these projects would bring revolution in education and health sectors in Chitral.

He said construction work on Lawari Tunnel project was expedited due to keen interest taken by the PM in it, saying it would help provide better travelling facilities to Chitral besides generating economic activities in this remote northern district of KP.

District Nazim Chitral Marafat Khan also hailed PM announcement of Rs200 million grant for district council Chitral, saying it would help accelerate development activities in Chitral.
