The people from Kurram district Wednesday protested over death of a tribal elder who was detained in Saddha jail after a clash between two tribes.

PARACHINAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Sep, 2018 ) :The people from Kurram district Wednesday protested over death of a tribal elder who was detained in Saddha jail after a clash between two tribes.

Former Senator Engr. Rashid Ahmed Khan said that Khani Khel and Gandaoo tribes of Parachamkani clashed over a mineral lease agreement.

He said " one each elder of the two tribes were detained in jail despite revoking of FC law in the wake of FATA merger into KP." He said one of the tribal elders who was 80-year of age was died in the jail due to heart attack.

Later, the protesters dispersed after Brigadier 73-Brigade, Akhtar Aleem assured that an inquiry would be conducted into the incident.
