People Refuse To Buy Substandard Wheat

The people of the Chitral Saturday refused to buy substandard wheat stored in different localities across the district
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jan, 2019 ) :The people of the Chitral Saturday refused to buy substandard wheat stored in different localities across the district.
Residents of Chitral, who used to buy wheat from the wheat storages of the food department, refused to buy the substandard wheat stored by food department in different localities including Rich, Dinan, Kuth, Yar Koon and Golain across the district since 2013.
After refusal, the food department decided to auction the dumps 1590 bags of wheat with the prize of Rs. 1500 each.
Some contractors also participated in the auctions before depositing a sum of Rs. 0.2 million as call deposit.
In the mean time the committee formed to look after the auctions and made ensure transparency later on decided to give any other date for the auction.
