People To Reject Those Leveling Baseless Allegations: CM

LAHORE, Feb 1 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 01st Feb, 2017 ) : Members of National and Provincial Assemblies belonging to different districts called on Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif here on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said all projects of the present government under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif were the most transparent projects of Pakistan's history and international institutions also praised zero-tolerance policy of the government adopted against corruption.

He said the recent report by Transparency International issued from Germany had confirmed transparency and elimination of corruption in Pakistan. Shehbaz Sharif said the political opponents were perturbed over transparency in development projects and hurling baseless allegations against the government.

He said that well-aware people of Pakistan had rejected those leveling false allegations at every occasion and such elements would again be defeated in 2018 general elections.

He said those who got hefty loans written off were talking about elimination of corruption.

He said the people of Pakistan had held sit-in group and corrupt rulers of the past accountable for their wrong doings and these elements would face same treatment by the people in future. The chief minister said those who were piling up lies fear that their politics would end once for all when development projects launched by the government would be completed.

He said the leadership of the PML-N believed in politics of hardwork, transparency and the service. Those who called on the chief minister include Malik Abrar Ahmed, Rais Muhammad Mehboob Ahmed, Sardar Muhammad Nawaz Khan, Sardar Khalid Mehmood, Sobia Anwar Satti and former MPA Irfan Ahmed Daha.
