People Use Poisonous Mushroom Instead Of Healthy Due To Unawareness

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2019 ) :Senior Scientific Officer Ministry of Science and Technology Islamabad, Dr Saadia Munir said that research on different varieties of Mushroom is necessary as we still have no knowledge about the economic benefits of Mushroom.

She said this while addressing the seminar organized under the auspices of Molecular Biology and Genetics Department of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University on the topic of "Cultivation of Mushroom and its economic benefits of wild Mushroom".

Dr Saadia Munir said that Mushroom output is seen in huge quantity in area of Thar but area people use poisonous Mushroom more than healthy Mushroom due to lack of information about it.

She said that not only food requirements could be achieved in case necessary attention is given on the production of Mushroom but it could full fill economic requirements also. The seminar was also addressed by Chairman Molecular Biology and Genetics Department Dr Waazir Ali Metlo, Dr Khalid Husain Rind and others.
