
Pervaiz Condemns Attack On Dawn News Van

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Augst,2016) : Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage, Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Thursday strongly condemned incident of firing on van of Dawn News television channel in Karachi.
In a statement issued here, the Minister said that such attacks tantamount to attack on freedom of expression and unacceptable for the government. In coordination with provincial governments, the federal government was taking all possible measures to ensure safety and security of the mediapersons, he added. The Minister said the provincial government should take an immediate cognizance of the incident to bring culprits to book.
He prayed for early recovery of the injured.
