PES Provided Services To 537 Accident Victims

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th August, 2016) : Punjab Emergency Service (PES) has provided services to victims of 537 road accidents in Punjab during the last 24 hours. According to Rescue 1122, nine people were killed while 468 sustained serious injuries in the accidents.
However, 272 drivers, 17 juvenile drivers, 87 pedestrians and 279 passengers were among the victims of these crashes.
The statistics showed that 111 accidents were reported in the city which affected 121 persons placing the provincial capital at top of the list followed by 44 in Faisalabad with 57 victims and Multan remained at third with 45 accidents and 46 victims. As many as, 464 motorcycles, 62 rickshaws, 63 cars, 16 vans, five buses, 24 trucks and 60 other vehicles and slow moving carts were involved in the accidents.
