PESCO Issues Guidelines For Consumers To Avoid Electrocution In Rains

PESHAWAR, Jan 4 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Jan, 2017 ) : The PESCO authorities here Wednesday issued guideline for consumers to avoid electrocution during ongoing rainy seasons in the province.
The PESCO spokesman has urged consumers to adopt all precautionary measures and not to touch cables and poles to avoid electrocution and electric shocks for own safety. Public should adopt all safety measures which include properly "earthen" electrical appliances and replace or tape all worn out wires and not to touch electrical appliances/cables with wet hands.
People is also requested to be careful and attentive while using electric water pumps and other electrical appliances besides not to tie their pets and cattle with the electric poles and towers.
Females are also requested to avoid usage of metal wires for drying clothes and not to touch the washing machine with wet hands without switching it off and a mate under foot would be kept while pressing the clothes to avoid electrocution.
