Peshawar High Court dismisses election petition against PTI candidate for Kulachi by-elections

The Appellate bench of Peshawar High Court dismissed cases against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) candidate for PK-99 Sardar Agha Khan Gandapur Kulachi here on Wednesday.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Sep, 2018 ) :The Appellate bench of Peshawar High Court dismissed cases against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) candidate for PK-99 Sardar Agha Khan Gandapur Kulachi here on Wednesday.

The two-member bench including Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Shakeel Ahmed rejected the appeal of opposition candidates-Fatehullah Miankhel and Fardon Khan Gandapur who had objected over date of birth of the PTI candidate.

The petitioners contended that the date of birth mentioned as different in National Identity Card (NIC) and educational certificates of Sardar Agha Khan Gandapur.

After examining records presented by the school's administration and officials of NADRA, the court dismissed the case against the Sardar Agha Khan Gandpur, paving way for him to contest upcoming by-elections for PK-99 Kulachi constituency.

The Election Commission had postponed polls after assassination of provincial agriculture minister Ikramullah Gandpur.
