"It has been the common concern of every trader of the federal capital that they are unaware of protected and banned wildlife species. Therefore, a detailed and comprehensive session has been organized to impart necessary education to them," he added.

The shop owners requested IWMB that some people had been breeding wild parrots at home which were not wild rather tamed parrots. They asked the board to provide special rings marked with numbers to be put around the necks of such birds and pets to distinguish them from wild species during IWMB raids, he mentioned.

"It will help maintain proper data of the bird's species sold in the market and also all bird and animal traders will also get registered under IWMB," Sakhawat said.

He went on to say that the record maintained would also had segregated data of other bird species would under the IWMB, adding this would also be facilitating in discriminating the birds either farm breeded or hunted through wild source during the raids conducted by IWMB.
