PFA Seizes Over 15,000 Kg Adulterated Chilies

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2019 ) :Food Safety Teams of the Punjab Food Authority in a raid at a factory seized 15,000 kg adulterated red chilies here on Friday.
Following a tip, the teams of the PFA raided at a spicy factory located in Sabzazar area and seized more than 15,000 kg adulterated red chilies and a huge quantity of poor quality raw material including food colours to be used in the preparation of different spices.
The factory was also sealed.
DG PFA,Capt(R)Muhammad Usman said that adulteration mafia could not be spared and strict action would be taken to eradicate adulteration in edible items.
