PHEC Chairperson, VCs from public sector universities visit UVAS

Vice Chancellors from various public sector universities of Punjab along with Chairperson Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) Prof Dr Mohammad Nizamuddin visited the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Ravi Campus Pattoki

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Dec, 2017 ) :Vice Chancellors from various public sector universities of Punjab along with Chairperson Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) Prof Dr Mohammad Nizamuddin visited the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Ravi Campus Pattoki.

They visited various departments of Ravi Campus Pattoki including Central Laboratory Complex (CLC), Pet Breeding & Training Center, Dairy Animal Training & Research Center, Small Ruminant Research Center, Aviary, Duck Farm and clinics.

They also planted saplings associated with their Names in A, Block Ravi Campus Pattoki. The delegation comprised Vice-Chancellor University of Engineering and Technology Lahore Prof.Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Vice-Chancellor of Khawaja Fareed University of Engineering & Information Technology Rahim Yar Khan Engr Prof Dr Athar Mahboob, Vice-Chancellor Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Engineering and Technology Multan Prof Dr AamirIjaz, Vice-Chancellor Lahore College for Women University Dr Uzma Qureshi and Vice-Chancellor of Government College Women University Sialkot Dr Farhat Saleemi.

In his presentation, UVAS Vice-Chancellor Dr Pasha briefed the delegation on the UVAS academic, research, extension & dairy advisory services, clinical & disease diagnostic facilities, development projects regarding Livestock Technology Park, Training Centre for Biologics Production, various training programmes, national and international linkages etc.

He said the UVAS was actively working on research and all laboratories were equipped with latest technology and highly trained human resource to provide the best training to university students and the latest clinical facilities to the poor farming community.

Prof Dr Mohammad Nizamuddin said that such visits were necessary for enhancing knowledge, infrastructure and faculty development and learning from each-others experiences. The Vice Chancellors appreciated the UVAS state-of-the-art disease diagnostic facilities, quality of education & research, dairy management trainings and providing clinical services for the benefit of poor farming community.
