PIA aircraft skids of runway

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Augst,2016) : Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Skardu bound flight Monday skidded of the runway at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA), but miraculously no major loss to life or property was reported.

"Reference media queries it is confirmed that a PIA aircraft, which was operating as PK-451, developed hydraulics problem due to which the aircraft had to land back at Islamabad airport," statement issued by PIA spokesman stated here. "After safe normal landing (at the airport) the aircraft could not be stopped on the runway and veered off. "The aircraft, crew members and passengers are safe.

All passengers have disembarked safely through the normal step. An inquiry into the incident is under way," it added.
