PIA Resumes Flight Operations To Saudi Arabia, UAE

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 28th February, 2019) The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced resuming flight operations to Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE) on priority basis.
The PIA spokesperson said that the decision has been taken after Pakistan’s airspace has been temporarily restored.
The spokesperson added that PIA flight PK-731 will depart for Jeddah from Karachi at 6pm today while PK-213 will leave for Dubai from Karachi at 10pm.
PIA flight PK-747 will leave for Madinah at 6pm and PK-245 will depart for Damam at 11pm.
The PIA has requested the passengers to contact the call centre before leaving for airport.
In view of the emergency situation, Pakistan's airspace was temporarily closed on Wednesday.
The flight operations were suspended at Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Multan, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and other major airports of the country, sources said.
All international and domestic flights operations were suspended at Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Airport.
Indian media had also reported suspension of flights in Occupied Kashmir and India's Punjab having border with Pakistan. The civilian air traffic was suspended at Srinagar airport, reports said.
India had grounded their all civilian aircraft, according to reports.
