PIA To Improve Its Services For Passengers: Muhammad Mian Soomro

Minister Incharge of the Aviation Division Muhamad Mian Soomro on Thursday said that Pakistan International Airline (PIA) would improve its services for its passengers
He told meeting of Senate Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges held here at Parliament House under the chairperson Senator Ayesha Raza Farooq.
The meeting was attended by Senators including Mian Raza Rabbani, Dr. Asif Kirmani, Pervaiz Rasheed, Dilawar Khan, Khanzada Khan, Brig � John Kenneth Williams, Khanzada Khan, Professor Sajid Mir and Muhammad Usman Khan.
Minister Incharge Muhammad Mian Soomro said that PIA would conduct an inquiry regarding irresponsible attitude of the airhostess with Senator Prof. Sajid Mir. He said that inquiry report would be submitted to the committee.
The PIA officials apologized over the incident of irresponsible attitude of the airhostess with Prof. Sajid Mir.
Senator Prof. Sajid Mir said that during travel from Lahore to Islamabad by PIA on July 4, 2018 when the flight was about to land at Islamabad airport he suddenly felt that his sugar level was going down so he requested the airhostess to give something to eat or drink immediately but she refused to serve anything.
The committee has deferred other three privilege motions due to suspension of the members of the parliamentarians.
The committee accepted conditional apology of the airhostess, subject to inquiry report of the PIA.
The committee also discussed the privilege motion moved by Senator Muhammad Usman Khan Kakar regarding misbehaviour with the mover.
