PIA’s Captain Mariam Continues To Fly The Plane Smoothly

Capt Mariam was the first female captain to fly a plane to Gilgit.
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 16th July, 2018) Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) female pilot Captain Mariam continues to take off the plane smoothly.
Ignacio Artaza, the country director of UNDP Pakistan, had the experience of taking the flight with Captain Mariam.
Sharing a picture with the female pilot on his Twitter, Artaza said that he had a very smooth flight from Gilgit with Captain Mariam.
“A very smooth flight From Gilgit with Capt Mariam, if there was any turbulence I slept through it! 👍 #WomenEmpowerment #PIA,” he wrote.
On June 21, PIA in a historic moment, had a female first officer and captain to fly a plane to Gilgit.
The picture of the female crew went viral on social media.
Captain Maryam Masood and First Officer Shumaila Mazhar were all smiles as they were to fly the plane to Gilgit, a flight not too easy.
PIA also lauded female captain and first officer for taking their flight in a tweet.
“The flight to Gilgit is very challenging and requires a lot of precision and technique. Our dynamic duo, Captain Maryam Masood and First Officer Shumaila Mazhar make it look so easy as they fly through the mountains celebrating the beauty of our northern areas! Way to go!! #PIA,” the national airline said in a tweet.
