Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Akbar Ayub Khan has won PK-40 with 66624 votes.
Haripur (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Akbar Ayub Khan has won PK-40 with 66624 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate won in PK-40 Haripur-I constituency with 66624 votes.
In 2013 general elections, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Gul Sahib Khan was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 24849 votes. The second runner up was Independent candidate Mian Nisar Gul who got 23017 votes.
At least 16 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PK-40. In 2013 elections, there were 175893 voters registered in PK-40, out of which 87454 votes were polled out.
In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 49.72 %. Detailed results can be found here
