PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jan, 2019 ) :District Nazim Muhammad Asim said Monday the district administration had devised a plan to install air pollution quality gauges at various parts of the metropolis growing menace of air pollution.
He expressed these views during a launching ceremony of the much-acclaimed Home Delivery Service (HSD) initiative to provide domicile, land mutation fee challan and other record documents through Pakistan Post to masses at their doorstep.
He said it was good and popular step on the part of the government, which would help overcome corruption and improve governance by ensuring transparency in land document related process.
He said that Peshawar was first city of the country where this popular initiative had been launched and added the HDS service would also be replicated in other districts of the province He also said that the district administration was taking concrete measures for socio-economic uplift of masses and added working out a plan to introduce air pollution quality gauge spoke high volumes of its sincerity towards cause of serving citizens.
He said that a memorandum of understanding had been reached with information technology department to install biometric system for attendance in government hospitals and gadgets at various place of the city to gauge level of pollution in the air.
He said that the departments concerned would make corrective measures accordingly once these air pollution quality gauges were installedand start gauging providing real time data of hazardous contents in the air.
