Play 'Janbaaz' Staged To Celebrate Defence Day

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -6th Sept,2016) : A family play titled 'Janbaaz' was staged here at Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) to celebrate Defence Day in connection with National Action Plan.

The play was staged on the instructions of Punjab Secretary Information and Culture Raja Jahangir Anwar. Written by Naheed Manzoor, the drama was directed by Ismail Bashir while the cast included Lubna Shahzadi, Naeem Khan, Imran Rushdi, Shama Niazi, Sabir Khan, Mehboob Alyas, Sakina Naz, Sobia Saleem, Ismail Bashir and Jhalak Ali.

Member Punjab Assembly (MPA) Lubna Rehan Pirzada, Naheed Manzoor and RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed were chief guests. The play was staged to pay rich tribute to brave armed forces of Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, MPA Pirzada said that the day of Sept 6 reduced all the pride and boldness of the large Indian Army to ashes. She said RAC presented such a wonderful and emotional play to honour Pakistan Army's role for the country's defence.
