ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2019 ) :Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Naeemul Haq Thursday said Prime Minister Imran Khan would announce new schemes for poor people soon for providing them relief and to control inflation in the country.
Ramzan package had already been given to provide subsidy on edible items, he said talking to a private news channel.
He said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government inherited economic crisis and extortionists but it was taking kinetic measures to resolve economic crunch soon.
The economic policies and relief schemes of the incumbent government would strengthen national economy, alleviate inflation and diminish ratio of poverty, he added.
The special assistant said the Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) were responsible for deteriorating economy and institutions as they looted the national wealth ruthlessly during their regimes.
He said the present government was trying to streamline the system to bring improvement and development in the country. Due to prudent policies, huge investment was coming into Pakistan which would help to stable the economy.
Replying to a question, he strongly condemned the raped and brutal murder of minor girl Farishta, adding an immediate action had taken against the culprits to provide prompt justice to the victim family. Protecting lives and properties was top most priority of the government, he said.
