ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2018 ) :State Minister for Interior Talal Chaudhry Monday said Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) had always respected the national institutions and democratic people could not violate the constitution as was done during dictatorial regimes.
Talking to a private news channel, he said PML-N and its leadership had never degraded or adopted any confronting policy against any national institution. He said that there was need to bring reforms in the judiciary system of the country because people were still far away from being provided true justice.
Talal said after winning the next general elections, the PML-N government would introduce mega reforms in this system for providing speedy justice to the people. In the past PML-N had launched a long march for the restoration of the judiciary in the country, he added.
He said PML-N and its leadership were not criticising judiciary but they were only criticising some decisions which was a constitutional right of every citizen of the country.
He said that people were supporting Muhammad Nawaz Sharif's narrative and they were not ready to accept decision of disqualification against him, adding results of all by-elections were proof of the fact.
He said Nawaz Sharif believed in supremacy of the law and for providing good governance to the people he had started several developmental projects in the country, adding the mega project China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was the witness to this fact.
The minister said that all the institutions should work under their constitutional parameter and should avoid intervening in the politics otherwise objections would be raised against them. Replying to a question, he said the Parliament was supreme institution of the country and legislation should be made against contempt of the parliament.
Talal said there was no reality in the statements of MNA Ayesha Gulalai and she was trying to achieve only cheap popularity.
