PML-N Govt Resolved Issues Of Terrorism, Energy Crisis: Khurram Dastagir Khan

Minister for Defence Engineer Khurram Dastagir Khan Wednesday said that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), government had resolved terrorism, energy problems and economic issues to a great extent.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2018 ) :Minister for Defence Engineer Khurram Dastagir Khan Wednesday said that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), government had resolved terrorism, energy problems and economic issues to a great extent.
The PML-N government, after coming into power in 2013, had to face long hours load-shedding, terrorism and weak economic issues, he said while talking to a news channel. Pakistan had suffered the most due to terrorism, he said.
Through operation Zarb-e-Azb and Radul Fasaad, the problem of terrorism had largely been resolved. Following the dynamic policies and leadership of Nawaz Sharif, the government had overcome the problem of load-shedding through initiating many power projects besides wiping out the menace of terrorism from its soil, he said.
"We have crossed 5 percent growth last year after a decade, " he added. To a question he said there was no terrorist sanctuaries or Haqqani network existing in this country, adding neither was there any ungoverned places.
Half of Afghanistan is safe heaven for terrorists and Pakistan wanted to see a stable, democratic and peaceful Afghanistan, he said.
To another question he said that United States with the help of Allied forces launched the longest war in Afghanistan and now, America was pegging its failure on Pakistan.
US must worried about Halmand Shura, he said. Expressing concerns, he said massive poppy cultivation was being reported in Afghanistan since US presence there. Pakistan was engaged in completing "fence" along Pak-Afghan border, the minister said.
Defence Minister said Pakistan had a history of good relations with US and we wanted to strengthen relations with all countries including America, China, Russia, and Gulf states. "We need to spread economic footprint across the world, " he said.
To a question he said that India had committed 400 line of control (LoC), violations this year, adding the current uprising in IHK was completely indigenous. Despite many challenges, he said China was making heavy investment through CPEC in Pakistan.
Replying to a question Khurram Dastagir said two democratic governments had completed the constitutional tenure in this country adding the next general elections would be held on time.
