PML-N's 'respect To Vote' Narrative Bound To Fail Again: Murad Saeed

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2019 ) :Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed on Monday said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's (PML-N) so-called show for 'giving respect to vote' had failed in the past and it would face the same fate again.

Reacting to the PML-N today's meeting, which was chaired by Maryam Nawaz, the minister, in a statement, said the vote's respect was linked to the accountability process. Those hyping the mantra of 'vote's respect' remained in hiding for the last many months, he added.

The PML-N leaders, however, had no other option except to return the plundered public wealth and leave the politics forever in their own interest, he said.

He said the PML-N's so-called narrative of vote's sanctity was aimed at ensuring the release of Nawaz Sharif, which was directly proportional to the pace of accountability process against him and other leaders.

It was evident from the fact that Maryam had again started hyping that mantra of 'vote's respect' as the noose against her uncle (Shehbaz Sharif) had been tightened while her father (Nawaz Sharif) was in jail.

He said Nawaz Sharif had been sent to the right place, which was jail. His children were the major reason behind his incarceration. The time had proved that he (Nawaz) was not worthy of being a prime minister.

Murad said how Maryam Nawaz could raise questions about Prime Minister Imran Khan as she herself remained in denial for having properties in London. She even used to claim that she had no property in Pakistan and she was living with her father.

It was a pity that Nawaz Sharif had landed in Kot Lakhpat Jail because of her, she added.

The minister said Imran Khan was not only a popular prime minister but also the loved political leader of the country.
