ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd August, 2016) : Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Wednesday said the Prime Minister's vision of peaceful neighbourhood would contribute to regional stability. "Having a will to address the concerns of other states can also help us getting ours addressed," Aziz told APP here at the conclusion of the three-day Envoys Conference. Sartaj Aziz said maintaining friendly relations with other countries was a vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah who said "Our foreign policy is the one of friendliness and goodwill towards all the nations of the world". The Advisor termed the holding of Envoys Conference as "remarkably fruitful" that provided a platform for Pakistan's ambassadors to important countries to discuss regional developments and their impact on Pakistan.
He said the conference broadly took-up five agendas including Pakistan's relations with United States, India including Kashmir dispute, Afghanistan, regional stability and counter-terrorism. Sartaj Aziz said the Conference expressed satisfaction over the government's three-year performance, particularly on initiation of work on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Central Asia South Asia-1000 (CASA), Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) pipeline and start of international air routes with many new countries. Pakistan becoming the member of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) this June is another diplomatic achievment of the government, he said.
