Police Brutalities Intolerable: Governor Punjab

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jan, 2019 ) :Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Monday said that Sahiwal tragedy was a litany of heartlessness and brutality and the nation was in a state of shock.
Talking to Provincial Minister for Housing Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed and Energy Minister Dr Akhter Malik in a meeting held here at the Governor's House, he said such incidents could not be allowed in a civilised society, adding that justice would be provided to the affected family.
The Punajb Governor said the perpetrators of Sahiwal tragedy could not be spared, adding that no compromise would be made on the supremacy of law and safety of citizens.
Sarwar said all resources would be utilised to overcome poverty, dearness and unemployment in the country, adding that Prime Minister Imran Khan's vision was in line with the aspirations of the nation.
He said it was regrettable that parents were killed in cold blood in front of their innocent children, assuring that the guilty would be taken to task in the light of the JIT report.
The governor also held a meeting his counter-part in Gilgat Baltistan (GB) Raja Jalal Hussain at the Governor's House.
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar assured the Governor GB that PTI government believed in federation and all federating units would be strengthened. He said GB province inherited some of the world's best tourist sites and the government would promote tourism in the country.
