Police raided Sheesha Center, 7 held

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Aug, 2024) Police have raided a ‘Sheesha Centre’ and arrested seven accused in the jurisdiction of the Airport Police Station and confiscated sound system and other material from their possession, informed police spokesman on Sunday.

He said that on a tip-off, Airport Police carried out an operation and arrested seven accused identified as Ahsan, Moeez, Farman, Qaiser, Syed Moeez and Mohsin.

The police team recovered ‘Huqqas’ and other smoking items from their possession.

Police have registered a case against them and started an investigation. The spokesman said that an anti-smoking drive had been launched in the city to ensure the implementation of the anti-smoking law, in 2002.
