Policeman shot dead

PESHAWAR, Jan 3 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Jan, 2017 ) : Unknown armed men shot dead a policeman near a check post on Charsadda road in the jurisdiction of Khazana police station here on Tuesday morning.

According to police sources, the policeman later identified as Zarghoon died on the spot while the assailants managed to escape.

The security forces and police have started search operation. Meanwhile, police carried out search operation in different areas of Hangu district and arrested 20 suspects including six proclaimed offenders.

The police also recovered weapons from some of the suspects. APP/vak/anm
