Polling Stations Jam Packed With Voters In Swat, Malakand

In-spite of hot weather, most of polling stations in Malakand and Swat districts are flooded with voters by exercising their right of franchise in favour of their choice candidates in a secure and peaceful atmosphere.

A visit to different polling stations by this scribe in Swat and Malakand revealed that almost all polling stations in Mingora City and Saidu Sharif besides Malakand were jam-packed with voters after 2pm and were properly lineup by police in big queues to avoid mismanagement and stampede during last hours of polling.
As less than three hours left in completion of polling process, all voters including senior citizens, youth and women were being seen in polling stations in Mingora and Saidu Sharif in large numbers and polling their votes in a free, transparent and secure atmosphere.
"Casting of votes is a national obligation and to fulfill this duty, it our collective responsibility to poll votes in abundance" Ikram Khan, a voter in Mingora polling station told APP.
The fate of PMLN President Shabaz Sharif, PPP Shahryar Ameerzaib and PTI former MNA Salimur Rehamn contesting on NA-3 Swat and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, PTI former MNA Junaid Akbar and MMA Moulana Gul Naseeb on NA-8 Malakand would be decided by voters today.
The polling will end at 6pm and voters inside polling stations would be allowed to cast votes.
Police and security forces made foolproof security arrangements for voters in Swat and Malakand districts.
