Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Sahibzada Muhammad Gazain Abbasi has won PP-253 with 36375 votes.

Bahawalpur (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Sahibzada Muhammad Gazain Abbasi has won PP-253 with 36375 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate won in PP-253 Bahawalpur-IX constituency with 36375 votes.

In 2013 general elections, Independent candidate Ghulam Murtaza Raheem was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 35269 votes. The second runner up was Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Muhammad Younas Iqbal who got 24536 votes.

At least 17 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PP-253. In 2013 elections, there were 148286 voters registered in PP-253, out of which 105076 votes were polled out.
