Balochistan Awami Party candidate Makhdoom zada Syed Basit Ahmad Sultan has won PP-272 with 23587 votes.

Muzaffargarh (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Balochistan Awami Party candidate Makhdoom zada Syed Basit Ahmad Sultan has won PP-272 with 23587 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Balochistan Awami Party candidate won in PP-272 Muzaffargarh-V constituency with 23587 votes.

In 2013 general elections, Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 40468 votes. The second runner up was Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Muhammad Asghar who got 25238 votes.

At least 18 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PP-272. In 2013 elections, there were 167435 voters registered in PP-272, out of which 93722 votes were polled out.

In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 55.98 %. Detailed results can be found here
