Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Muhammad Ashraf khan Rind has won PP-279 with 42564 votes.
Muzaffargarh (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Muhammad Ashraf khan Rind has won PP-279 with 42564 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate won in PP-279 Muzaffargarh-XII constituency with 42564 votes.
In 2013 general elections, Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate RANA ABDUL RAUF was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 44516 votes. The second runner up was Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate SYED AHMAD NADEEM who got 20434 votes.
At least 29 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PP-279. In 2013 elections, there were 157699 voters registered in PP-279, out of which 93601 votes were polled out.
In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 59.30 %. Detailed results can be found here
