Pakistan Muslim League candidate Shujahat Nawaz has won PP-28 with 56434 votes.
Gujrat (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Pakistan Muslim League candidate Shujahat Nawaz has won PP-28 with 56434 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Muslim League candidate won in PP-28 Gujrat-I constituency with 56434 votes.
In 2013 general elections, Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Doctor Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 58531 votes. The second runner up was Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Hassan Inam Piracha who got 32657 votes.
At least 8 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PP-28. In 2013 elections, there were 170693 voters registered in PP-28, out of which 103658 votes were polled out.
In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 60.71 %. Detailed results can be found here
