Independent candidate Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh has won PP-280 with 37620 votes.

Layyah (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Independent candidate Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh has won PP-280 with 37620 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Independent candidate won in PP-280 Layyah-I constituency with 37620 votes.

In 2013 general elections, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Mian Mumtaz Ahmad Maharwi was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 17558 votes. The second runner up was Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Sajjad Ahmad Jhatol who got 16173 votes.

At least 35 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PP-280. In 2013 elections, there were 152413 voters registered in PP-280, out of which 90835 votes were polled out.

In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 59.65 %. Detailed results can be found here
