According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate won in PP-71 Hafizabad-III constituency with 47840 votes.

In 2013 general elections, Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate MALIK MUHAMMAD NAWAZ was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 56007 votes. The second runner up was Independent candidate MUHAMMAD UD DIN who got 22923 votes.

At least 31 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PP-71. In 2013 elections, there were 190615 voters registered in PP-71, out of which 113691 votes were polled out.
