Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Chaudhary Sajid Mehmood has won PP-9 with 51524 votes.
Rawalpindi (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Chaudhary Sajid Mehmood has won PP-9 with 51524 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate won in PP-9 Rawalpindi-VII constituency with 51524 votes.
In 2013 general elections, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate ASIF MEHMOOD was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 29797 votes. The second runner up was Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate CHAUDHARY MUHAMMAD AYAZ who got 29524 votes.
At least 17 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PP-9. In 2013 elections, there were 125581 voters registered in PP-9, out of which 69427 votes were polled out.
In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 55.28 %. Detailed results can be found here
