ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Dec, 2018 ) :Secretary General Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) Farhat Ullah Babar on Tuesday expressed the need for amendments in laws of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and said accountability should be done across the board.
Addressing a press conference here along with Senator Maula Bakhsh Chandio, Dr Nafeesa Shah and Nayyer Hussain Bokhari, he said the leadership and party workers would not succumb to any pressure.
Farhat Ullah claimed that NAB had served notices to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari soon after his address at a public gathering, where he criticized the government.
Nayyer Bokhari said that PPP always wanted that NAB's role should be impartial, and alleged that today NAB was being used to achieve political goals.
President PPPP, Asif Ali Zardari was kept behind bars for several years but nothing was proved against him. Today once again Zardari has been asked to appear before the NAB in a case, in which he never purchased any land, Nayyer Bokhari said.
He said that Pak Lane Company was established according to the law of the land and at that time Bilawal Bhutto's age was below one year. He said PPP will defend its leadership at every forum.
On the occasion, Maula Bakhsh Chandio said that PPP does not want to derail the democratic system and always worked to strengthen the democratic institutions.
