President For Active Diplomacy On Highlighting Kashmir Issue

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -30th Augst,2016) : President Mamnoon Hussain on Tuesday underscored the need for proactive diplomacy to draw the attention of the world towards gross human rights violations and atrocities being committed by Indian security forces against innocent Kashmiris in Occupied Kashmir.
The President said this while talking to Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi, here at the Aiwan-e- Sadr. The President called for actively pursuing the Kashmir cause at various international forums and expressing Pakistan's concern about the alarming situation in Indian-held Kashmir in the backdrop of extra-judicial killings by Indian forces.
President Mamnoon Hussain hoped that the parliamentarians recently appointed as special envoys would effectively highlight the brutalities in Occupied Kashmir and would garner international support for the right to self-determination of Kashmiris in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi briefed the President about international issues with particular reference to the regional situation.
