
President Of Pakistan Announces A Reduction Of Sentence For The Prisoners On Eid

Islamabad, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th july, 2016) : On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, President of Pakistan has announced a reduction of sentence for the prisoners. According to the notification, three months prison have been reduced for the captives who were sentenced to the life time prison while those who are above 65 years of age and have completed 65% of their punishment will be freed.
Moreover, one year prison would be lessen for those women who bear a child of less than two years of age.The reduction in penalties would not be applied on those who have committed serious crimes and were involved in terrorist activities.
