President, Prime Minister Grieved Over Begum Kulsoom's Demise; Pakistan HC Instructed To Extend All Assistance

President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan Tuesday expressed deep grief over the sad demise of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, who breathed her last in London earlier in the day, after a protracted illness.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Sep, 2018 ) :President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan Tuesday expressed deep grief over the sad demise of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, who breathed her last in London earlier in the day, after a protracted illness.
The prime minister described Begum Kulsoom, wife of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, as a "brave and courageous lady" and said the government would provide all assistance to the bereaved family, as per law, a statement from the PM Office said.
He conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family over the loss and prayed to Allah Almighty to bless her soul.
The prime minister instructed the Pakistan High Commission in the United Kingdom to extend necessary cooperation to the family.
Expressing grief over the passing away of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, President Dr Arif Alvi prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace and extended his condolence to the bereaved Sharif family.
Officials of Pakistan High Commission in the UK, after receiving the prime minister's instructions, reached the residence of the Sharif family at Park Lane to extend required facilitation to them.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shehbaz Sharif, in a tweet, confirmed the sad demise of Begum Kulsoom.
