Prime Minister Imran Khan Meets With Orld Bank (WB) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kristalina Georgievaon Sidelines Of BRF

Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday held a meeting with the World Bank (WB) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kristalina Georgieva on the sidelines of the second Belt and Road Forum (BRF)
BEIJING, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Apr, 2019 ) :Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday held a meeting with the World Bank (WB) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kristalina Georgieva on the sidelines of the second Belt and Road Forum (BRF).
He was accompanied by the Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Advisor TO Prime Minister on Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and Advisor to Prime Minister on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood.
The prime minister informed the WB CEO about the recent steps taken by the government for improving the economic and fiscal situation in the country.
He appreciated the role played by the WB in regional connectivity, poverty alleviation, financial management, provisional projects, Dasu and other infrastructure projects and ease of doing business.
He also informed about the socioeconomic uplift measures taken by the government and creation of "Ehsaas" a social welfare programme.
The WB CEO pledged to further strengthen cooperation with Pakistan in the areas of disbursements, programme lending and guarantees provision for raising external funds.
