Processions Of 9th Muharram Conclude Peacefully In Multan

As many as 82 mourning processions of 9th Muharram concluded peacefully, here on Thursday.

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Sep, 2018 ) :As many as 82 mourning processions of 9th Muharram concluded peacefully, here on Thursday.

Strict security arrangements were made by the district administration to avert any untoward incident. About 5000 police officials along with volunteers performed duties.

The district administration had installed 97 CCTV cameras at 57 locations with an aim to ensure tight security arrangements. All the processions were monitored from Control Room, established at Deputy Commissioner Office.

The historic 9th Muharram procession was taken out from Imam Bargah Mumtazabad which concluded at the same point after passing through different areas.

Similarly, the historic Ustadwala and Shagirdwala Tazias have also been put on display at inside Pak Gate and Khooni Burj, respectively.

Similarly, other historic tazias of Multan including Pir Laal Bukhsh, Kiri Patolian, Allah Bukhshwala and others were also put on display.

The district administration said that the routes of Muharram 10 processions were being monitored properly. Army and Rangers will also be available in case of any emergency.

Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Riaz also visited different processions and informed about the security arrangements. He informed that there was ban on pillion riding and nobody was allowed to take law into hand. He stated that those who would try to violate law, must be punished.

Similarly, MNA Zain Qureshi and MPA Nadeem Qureshi addressed Hussainia Conference held at Raza Hall. They highlighted different aspects of the life of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).

Makhdoom Javed Hashmi also led a peace walk held at Daulat Gate. He paid rich tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). He urged upon masses to follow teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) as these provide solution of their issues.
