Properties Bought With Ill-gotten Money To Be Taken Back: Iftikhar Durrani

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Nov, 2018 ) :Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Media lftikhar Durrani Sunday said many properties in United Arab Emirates (UAE), United Kingdom (UK) and Switzerland had been identified which were bought with the ill gotten money.
Talking to a private news channel, he said Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Accountability Shehzad Akbar was given a task to identify all the ill-gotten properties abroad and bring the looted money back to the country.
He said austerity measures were being taken to reduce the expenditures of the government, beside uprooting corruption and alleviating corruption from the country.
He further said after coming into power, the government had reduced Rs 140 million expenses of the prime minister house.
Replying to a question regarding references against Sharif family, he said the government had sent four new references against the previous government for misuse of power and personal use of helicopter.
Responding to another question regarding National Accountability Bureau, he said NAB was completely independent, adding the government had nothing to do with its official matters.
About the prime minister's recent visit, he said the UAE visit would prove successful like the previous two visits of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
