Prosthetic hands distributed among special persons

MULTAN, Jan 5, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Jan, 2017 ) : Rotary Club Multan Cantt distributed 17 LN-4 prosthetic hands among those whose one hand was chopped off owing to some disease or in an incident.

The club has set a target of 1,000 prosthetic (artificial) hand, which is an artificial limb that replaces an arm missing below the elbow, disbursement free-of-charge by end of 2017 across the country.

The ceremony was held at Fazal Rehman Hospital, being run by Mian Fazal Rehman Foundation. Speaking on the occasion, Paksitan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Rana Ejaz Noon said distribution of prosthetic hands was a noble cause.

President Rotary Club Multan Cantt, Asad Mumtaz said that the human friendly activity would make the life easier for special persons. Charted President Rotary Club and CEO Fazal Rehman Hospital Salman Mubarak informed the participants that each hand costs $50, but the recipients were provided it free-of-cost.

Dr Ishtiaq Ahmad, PML-N City President, Rana Shahidul Hassan, and senior journalist, Jabbar Mufti, also spoke.
