Protest Rally In Berlin Calls For Int'l Community's Role To Resolve Kashmir Issue

BERLIN (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / NNI - 17th March, 2019) Participants of a protest rally in Berlin, the capital of Germany called upon the international community specially United Nation (UN) and European Union (EU) to play their role for reduction of tension South Asia, particularly a peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue according to the wishes of the people of Kashmir.In spite of rainy weather, the rally arranged by Kashmir Free Organization at central area of Berlin was attended by a number the people from different walks of life including students and members of various European Kashmiri and Pakistani organizations.The participants of the rally carrying banners also raised slogans against recent Indian aggression on Pakistan and line of control of Kashmir (Loc) and atrocities committed by the Indian forces in Indian Held Kashmir.
Supporting oppressed people of occupied Kashmir struggling for their right to self-determination, the protesters marched three KMs at main street of Berlin city.Speakers of the gathering including Chairman Kashmir Free Organization Dr Sadique Kiyani and Chairman of the Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU) Mr Ali Raza Syed asked the world major powers to play their role for normalizing severe situation in South Asia in the context of core issue of Kashmir.
They said, Kashmir is real issue in South Asia as this conflict has been ongoing for the past seven decades at a huge cost in terms of civilian lives.The speakers said, this dispute, which is a core issue between India and Pakistan has created an environment in which the most shocking specially abuses of the human rights of the civilian population of Kashmir by the Indian forces have become as a usual matter.They warned that the possible consequences of non-intervention of International community specially UN and EU, possibility of use nuclear weapons by the two nuclear power India and Pakistan in the region can increase.The speakers said, it is an important opportunity for UN and EU to take necessary measures for reduction of tension and particularly peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute through dialogue between all parties of the issue including Kashmiris as a basic party of the issue.
