Protests Held Across Gilgit-Baltistan Against Indian Brutality In Kashmir

GIlGIT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Aug, 2024) Like rest of the world, protests, rallies and processions were held in all districts of Gilgit-Baltistan to mark Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir. Speakers at the events severely condemned Indian brutality and oppression in Kashmir.
In this regard a rally was held from Shahi Polo Ground Gilgit to Ghari Bagh, protesting against Indian occupation, brutality, and oppression in Kashmir. A large number of people from civil society, student organizations, scouts and the general public participated in the rally, carrying placards and banners with slogans against Indian atrocities.
Speakers at the event demanded that the international community take immediate notice of Indian brutality and the elimination of Kashmir's autonomous status. They said that the Modi government had illegally annexed occupied Kashmir as part of India.
"The people and government of Pakistan stand with the Kashmiris in their right to self-determination. We are ready to make every sacrifice for the freedom struggle of our Kashmiri brothers. We will not back down from supporting the just struggle of the Kashmiri people."
