ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Dec, 2017 ) :Various religious and political parties Friday took out protest rallies to condemn the United States decision of declaring disputed Jerusalem the capital of Israel.

The participants of the rallies were carrying banners, placards and posters inscribed with anti-US and anti-Trump slogans. All rallies gathered in Liaqat Shaheed Stadium where Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad and other religious scholars condemned the decision of American President Donald Trump for officially declaring Jerusalem as Capital of Israel and urged to immediately withdraw the announcement.

the federal minister and religious scholars demanded the US to accept Jerusalem as capital of Palestine. They said, Trump's decision has created a great unrest among the Muslims across the world and hurt their sentiments. They said, Trump's move was against the international law, adding that Pakistan is standing by Palestinians and would continue their support at every forum.
