Provincial Finance Award Implementation Essential To Empower Provinces: Chaudhry Fawad Hussain

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jan, 2020 ) :Minister for Science and Technology Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Wednesday said the implementation of Provincial Finance Award (PFA) was imperative to empower the provinces and their districts financially.
It was responsibility of the provincial governments to deliver in all sectors including health, education, agriculture and others for the welfare and progress of the provinces, he said talking to a private news channel.
The minister said the reforms should be introduced in the provinces for ensuring good governance and betterment of the country.
The performance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government was much better as compared to other provinces, he said and added the KP government was issuing funds to local bodies for development at grass roots level.
He alleged former Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif had only focused in Lahore during the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz regime while the Sindh government was totally failed in delivering for the prosperity and uplift of the province and masses.
Replying to a question, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan was only popular and dynamic leader, who had intact votes in all the provinces.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government would complete its constitutional term as it was working for the utmost interest of the country, he added.
