ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Nov, 2018 ) :The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership Friday claimed that the Pakistan Tehreek i Insaf (PTI) government could not fulfill many of the promises the party had made with the people during the election campaign.
Addressing a press conference here, PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said the devaluation of rupee against Dollar had burdened the people.
He said the government had reduced the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) allocations by 30 percent which would affect creation of jobs and economic growth. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth rate, he claimed, would fall to 4.5 percent.
PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal said the PTI government lacked a proper roadmap. It had claimed to eradicate corruption from the country in 90 days, but it had closed down the accountability commission in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he alleged.
He said the manufacturing industry was not in good condition as the real representatives of industry were ignored.
He said the construction of Diamer-Bhasha dam would cost over $14 billion, which could not be made through crowdfunding by the PTI. He alleged that the PTI did not develop its own health and education blueprint, while no programme had been launched for the disabled.
Ahsan Iqbal further alleged that the government did not cut fuel prices when the same were low in the international market while no step had been taken for development of agriculture, he added.
He also claimed that the government had increased tax on middle class.
