PTI files appeal in SC against Registrar Office's objections

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -5th Sep,2016) : Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the orders of the registrar office for objections over the petition submitted for Panama Leaks.

The PTI chief Imran Khan filed the petition through Hamid Khan advocate and Naeem Bokhari advocate and pleaded the court to accept the appeal and order dated August 30, passed by the Assistant Registrar (Civil-II) for the Registrar be set aside.

The petitioner also prayed to the court for removing objections and direct the concerned office to fix the Constitutional Petition for hearing.

The PTI in its appeal stated that the petition was returned by the Registrar of the apex court.

The registrar office of the apex had returned the PTI petition for not being entertainable with further ruling that the petitioner had not approached the proper forum with further objection that the petition prima facie appears to be a 'frivolous' within the contemplation of Order XV11, Rule 5 of the Supreme Court Rules 1980.

Talking to media after filing the appeal, PTI counsel Hamid Khan said registrar office has no right to take any decision or to declare the petition as inappropriate.
