PTI Leader Uzma Kardar Speaks Up In Support Of Cigarettes

Uzma Kardar said that the sale of cigarettes gives us revenue; therefore, smoking should be supported.

Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th January, 2018) While the government is strongly campaigning against drugs and smoking, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Uzma Kardar has supported consumption of cigarette.

Uzma Kardar said that the sale of cigarettes gives us revenue; therefore, smoking should be supported.

Speaking at a tv show, the PTI leader said that the ban on cigarettes will cut the revenue Pakistan gets from cigarettes.

“What’s the issue when cigarettes are generating revenue for the country?” she said.

Not only that, Kardar further said, “We should start importing tobacco to get revenue.”

“What has the public got from the last 70 years? Neither clean water nor education and health facilities,” she said.

“We see several deaths despite the ban on alcohol. Where is the law then?” she added.
